Welcome to Budget Nuggets

Hi! I can hardly believe it. I’m writing my first blog post on a blog I’ve been dreaming of making for quite some time now. It’s going to be all things BUDGETING AND MONEY!!!! Who would’ve thought I’d be into so much math when I hated it growing up? I think it’s because my math abilities surrounding money and budgeting light a new fire in my soul <3

My husband and I paid off $45,000 in 2 years (2018-2020) in the midst of struggling with infertility. We didn’t make over $100,000 with our combined incomes at the time. Since then, I’ve sat down with countless friends and helped them draft up budgets and put together a plan for how to organize their money, get out of debt and save money to become wealthy.

If I’m being completely honest, since having our little guy last November, we went back into debt to buy a family SUV this past spring and it’s my goal to get this SUV paid off in less than 2 years. I hate having a car payment again! I let myself get sucked into car fever.

I think we could use some accountability, so I’m going to be showing how I budget and use cash envelopes while we pay this car debt off. I’ll be giving all my tips and tricks on how to spend frugally along the way. Nuggets of gold on everything from meal planning, grocery shopping on a budget, budgeting for birthday and Christmas gifts, cheap décor, paying student loans, clothing for family and more! All while keeping my money in line. Here’s to paying off our car debt and getting organized with our money again! Let’s get started!!
